Listen, Evaluate, Never Underestimate, and Transform

During this season of Lent our goal is to draw closer to God. According to Isaiah 40:3 we are to be the voice of one that cries in the wilderness saying, “Prepare ye the way of the Lord; make straight in the desert a highway for our God.”

As we approach this season of Lent remember the following acrostic:

Listen with your heart, your inner spirit and allow the Lord to show you areas that you need to repent, forgive, apologize, or change direction.

Evaluate where you are in your spiritual journey. Do you need to make adjustments?

Never underestimate the power of His love within you. Meditate on His love for you.

Transform His everlasting love into the abundant life He offers you. (John 10:10) Then share His love with those you meet.

PRAYER:

Dear Heavenly Father, we come seeking a closer walk with You. For it is in You that we live and breathe and have our being. It is in Your everlasting love that we learn to love You and love our fellow journeymen, to reach the lost and give aide to the one in need.

Father, place the deep desire within us to know the height, depth, width and length of Your love. Your word tells us that You are love, so the more we understand Your great love for us the closer we come to knowing You in a more intimate way. Open our hearts to Your heart.

I ask this in the Name of Your Son, Jesus.
Amen!
