Lord,
I’m so scared of what’s ahead.
My heart is anxious and uncertain.
Fear hangs like a velvet curtain
creating darkness and dread.
Close your eyes.
Tears, Father, they blur my eyes
and burden my heart.
Each one stings like a dart.
blinded by worry, my soul cries.
Close your eyes.
Guilt, I taste it on my tongue,
bitter and strong.
bitter and strong.
Nothing erases its hold on me.
of it I long to be free.
A haunting melody of an endless song.
Close your eyes my child.
You’re deaf to my word, spoken
for you but not heard.
for you but not heard.
Let me tame what is wild;
in your mind and in your heart.
I offer you sweet release
with my grace find your peace.
To stop struggling so, you must start
Walking by faith, not by sight.
Let me lead you on your way.
Let me carry your burdens today.
Close your eyes, it will be all right.
If only you walk by faith and not by sight.
